When a movie staring a dog breed surfaces it is always concerning that the masses will demand a surplus of the breed so the opportunists can profit. Marmaduke portrayed the breed in a fair and accurate way and provided an entertaining moralistic storyline that was entertaining for both adults and children alike. The fact the the dogs lips moved and the animals spoke thru the entire movie presented a potential annoyance factor but the graphics were excellent and the animators truly knew the breeds attributes and they made it enjoyable from ears to tail. There was no inappropriate language and few passable naughty jokes. The kids did not even notice them.
