It was nice to have a reason to get the girls together for a night out, but this movie is really disappointing. There are a handful of amusing moments, but overall it's, at best, a disappointment, at worst, insulting, embarassing and demeaning. I cringed repeatedly at many of the scenes that were insulting to arab culture while at the same time reinforcing the stereotype of the loud, ignorant, obnoxious, shallow American. Each of the characters suddenly became pathetic & weak in this version. Worst of all, I was totally nauseated by the idea that women over 50 can only be sexy and have a libido if they take dozens of hormone pills and creams -- and I'm in my 30s -- I can't imagine how insulted I would be if I was over 50. Skip this movie if you haven't seen it, forget it if you have.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
