Captain Jack and the cast got it right once again. This franchise is as fresh as ever. Great movie with lots of action and spiced with comedy. After pirates 2, I thought the franchise was dead in the water. That was the worst of the 4 so far but they steered into the headwind once again in P3 and kept on going in P4 by losing the over the top silliness they sailed into in P2. Penelope Cruz? I'd sail under her flag any day! Looking forward to P5!! Great movie for the entire family.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Wait For The Rental

I think the director couldn't figure out which type of movie he wanted to make, horror or action/adventure so he missed both targets. The sheriff held my interest throughout, as his was the only character truly developed. Storyline/plot were all rehashes of better movies with the same type of scenario. You could count the 'zombies' on one hand, thus missing the 'horror' target. He was closer to the action/adventure target as it was fairly fast paced. In some areas it was almost too fast paced where they could have developed the plot/characters better. But again, the story was unoriginal and held no new twists to this genre of film, so keeping it shorter than longer probably helped. Director's cut on dvd?
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This movie was not what I was expecting, but was really good, regardless. Once again, the Coen brothers deliver a fresh and creative movie chock full of superb actors who nail their parts without exception. Pitt and Malkovich were especially brilliant. I laughed out loud a lot during the film, but realized after the credits started rolling the hidden message of the film tells a sad tale of history repeating itself when it comes to intelligence and those who are in charge. See this movie...it's worth it!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
