If you are a fan of the book I think you will be pretty satisfied. I think it was probably the closest adaptation of a book to a movie I've ever seen. It was very true to the book with only tiny details changed that made sense in order for the film to move along and tell the story in 2 hours. At the same time because I love the book so much there were a few things that I didn't like and would have liked to see in the movie. I found the music in the film to be pretty annoying except for a couple pieces. I think all of the actors really pulled it off as far as really understanding their characters. It's not the best movie ever but I did leave satisfied and I went back and saw it a second time.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
