For fans of Michael Jackson, both hardcore and casual, this movie really shows Michael in his truest essence- the King of Pop. It is a fitting legacy that he performs not only some of his greatest hits, but it offers a very rare insight into how he works, how he feeds off of his audience, small or large. You get a glimpse of his awareness of not only his music, but what the fans want, and how to manufacture a certain emotion in a crowd of tens of thousands of people. Worth seeing in the theater, or at the very least, in a very decent home theater.
Despite the often grating accents on some of the lead actors, this movie delivers on what the trailers tease - brainless humor. Lots of exposed rear nudity in case you're sensitive to that kind of thing. There were steady, constant laughs, with a bit of "I can't believe they just did that," and it could have fit into 90 minutes easily with some more attentive editing. But, well worth watching, and worth the price of admission.
