The girls are evolving and the movie chronicles the next stage in their lives and their relationships, both personal and with each other. Yes, the location is over the top in a place most of us will never see -- but isn't that the point?? The characters, all in their own way, are at a crossroads in their lives -- didn't Miranda lead the way in the first movie? Their trip to Abu Dhabi represents a search for the right turn in the road. Many women "of a certain age" will identify with the conflicts of these characters who, once they get what they longed for, feel guilty when they find what makes them happy isn't enough. What I loved about the movie is that I identified with their conflict, with the lure of meeting up with an old flame, with the guilty pleasure of a few days away from the responsibilities of career, kids, and husband. Grab your girlfriends, have some cocktails, find a driver, and go out for some great escapism! MPK please start writing SATC 3 -- I think Carrie should have to revise the engraving on the back of Mr. Big's watch!! (if you haven't seen the movie yet, you'll get this when you see it)
Yes, I recommend this movie.
