It was an OK Potter film. But, in some ways, it missed the book completely. This film was lacking in the end. It was somewhat disappointing to watch how Dumbledore dies. And, they missed the whole battle at the end. It took 2 1/2 hours and there was no major war. I was disappointed. But, it was a good summer flick. And, they did not go into details about the horcruxes or finding them like the book did. I was very disappointed.
Let's get one thing straight....Ok? This is not a movie about the mummy....It is about a historical retelling of the Chinese emperor who became the mummy. The legend is real....Jet Li's character really did exist....This movie was a little cool. The CGI was a little over the top. But, this movie brought me back to the days when Indiana Jones was a hit. The Mummy might be the new Indiana Jones....Rick 'O Connel (Brendan Fraiser) is the new Indy. The yetti's were cool! The cow/cattle/whatever it was, was hillarious. Jonathan is always funny. And the new Evelyn 'O Connel was ok...Not great...But OK...Now, do I was for Rachel Weiz....Hell no! And, Peru, the next stop? Let's go...2010, a new mummy tale will await us / and will be awakened..... Mummy 3 is a classic to be treasured like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
