I found this movie entertaining. I love SATC for the opulent fantasy it is--beautiful clothes, shoes, and purses; gorgeous homes; and luxury items. My only complaint with the movie is the writing. Michael Patrick King made Samantha over-the-top crude; Charlotte was "overwhelmed" with rearing her children when she has a supportive husband and a full-time nanny (?); Carrie was mad because Big wanted to watch TV and not go out every night (!?); and Miranda just blithely quit a job when she's the main breadwinner (?) MPK made the girls look ridiculously shallow in this movie and I think that that's what the critics are reacting to.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
