Cute and fun for the whole family

I've taken my younger brother to see Shrek on his birthday for every movie (they've always come out right on his birthday). I was nervous because some of the reviews ripped on the movie pretty hard but I think they're all unfounded. I thought the movie was cute, funny and it's great for the whole family. There are enough jokes for the younger ones, but also enough comments thrown in slyly for the adults. Obviously it's not McGrubber or some adult comedy, but it's not meant to be and that doesn't mean adults can't enjoy it as well. I also really appreciated the central theme. I think all ages can appreciate enjoying what you have, and never taking life for granted
Yes, I recommend this movie.
