I did not think the movie lived up to its hype. I did like the fairly accurate portrayal of London during Sherlock's times. There were some anachronisms (handcuffs in the back instead of int he front for one example). Some scenes seemed to want to shock us such as Homes being handcuffed to the bed naked. I liked the special effects and the way Sherlock analyzed how some things happened.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I did not think the acting was that good. Julia Roberts did not seem to be interested in her role. The story did not seem to be plausible.

good movie for a family or a date. Isla did a good job changing facial features (affect) and her performance overall was good. Dancy was so - so
We enjoyed it immensely
