What a Waste

It seems everyone has already commented on why the movie was so bad and while I completely agree with them, I find leaving the theater I’m left with another, longer lasting bad taste in my mouth…the absolute waste of it.
Growing up I watched the Green Hornet. And since then, aside from the comics, no one has really done anything with the property.
This was their opportunity, their chance to revive this figure. To elevate him back to the likes of Superman and Batman. But instead they chose to make him some kind of “drew carey” superhero…weak, bumbling and unskilled. A whiny spoiled child who wants to take credit for everything, yet do nothing…all in all, a complete embarrassment.

They could have launched a whole new franchise here. Seriously, this property had everything, a cool car, toys and gadgets galore, martial arts, great colors and an emblem/logo that was both bold and memorable. It could have been a marketing dream, one that I would have gladly stood in line to purchase.
Now, I don’t even want a poster. I find myself just shaking my head at the utter waste of it all.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
