Having just finished the novel, I was maybe a little "hyper-aware" of the details, so some of the creative liberties used in the movie threw me off a bit. That being said, I enjoyed the movie immensely and found it to be well-acted and engaging.
Two thumbs ups!

While predictable and reminiscient of My Best Friend's Wedding, Patrick Dempsey is convincing as a romantic/best friend lead and the physical comedy was hilarious! Just to see "McDreamy" take the fall(s) made it fun to watch! Typical happy ending didn't detract from the great chemistry between characters and all in all, it was an enjoyable "lite" movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
