Having decided early on to see this film, I was not disappointed. What more can be said than other reviewers have already said...a wonderful cast from top to bottom featuring many of the Empire's best-loved and accomplished actors. Oscar canditdate certainly for the leading roles...a film that takes you from the lows to the heights of one man's struggle as a public figure. Were George VI/Bertie not a royal the story would not have been as significant as what we witnessed on the screen. I shall see it again and again...
Saw the movie with a friend yesterday...we are grandmothers who found it as good for us as for the children...there were laughs for each of us. Each of us believe that this was the best in the Toy Story series...it could be called an end given Andy's growth to college-bound teen. It could also continue as the little girl who receives Andy's beloved toys grows with them...For me, in this age of electronics and media, toys are important...a medium for imagination and growth for children. May we not lose their importance and value as we become "electronically" saavy.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I wanted to see this movie and when asked I immediately decided to go. The vistas of Italy are wonderful - I was there a year ago in Tuscany my "dream vacation. It is a story for romantics to be sure but for both the young and old given the diverse story line. It may be predictable - it may be something we have seen before in that predictability but is is what a movie shoud have...that change to enter the world of "the suspension of disbelief" and take us to a place of entertainment and for those like myself the belief that there is a "happily ever after". Bring your tissues...if you are of a softer heart. For me Vanessa Redgrave is the center of the movie...she adds grace and maturity to this movie that may appear to be for the young only.
