Not What You'd Expect (in a bad way)

The hype for this movie made it kind of a disappointment. I'm a "watched every episode and love every minute of Sex and the City" kind of fan and it's sad to say this movie didn't live up to the seasons or the first movie. On a good note, the fashion was fabulous! I loved almost every outfit. Humor was it's strongest point and yes there were some tear-jerking moments, but otherwise it dragged on and was really choppy. Besides Samantha, the characters weren't really themselves. The guys were barely in it, cheating was a big topic, and stereotypes played a BIG role - especially when they visited the middle east. Not as light hearted and touching as you would expect from Sex and the City. As my friend and I said, we'll just think of it as one of those not-so-favorite episodes. I'll always be a SATC fan, just not a fan of how the second movie played out.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
