One to watch and ponder

While the book was a favorite of my childhood - this is not a movie for children... or for that matter many adults. That said, it is a profoundly brilliant film - one that forces us to consider emotions and issues that don't yet translate into words for the young lead… but nonetheless need to be dealt with. Rather than a tale of fantasy, this may be the most 'real' movie about being young and confused that has ever been made.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
