IRON MAN ROCKS AGAIN

The unfortunate side effect of fantastic comic book movies like Iron Man and the Dark Knight is that they raise the bar so high that routine audiences can't help but be "let down" by the good ones. Iron Man 2 is a good movie. Completely disregard the MORONIC CASE MADE BY CRITICS that Iron Man 2 is too convoluted. Any 11 year old who actually reads comics can follow the story lines- and probably LIKES MULTIPLE PLOT LINES to keep them interested. After teasers in The HULK and IRON MAN- its very cool to see the AVENGERS sub plot really get rolling... Robert Downey Jr is Stark- and all the other players are well cast in their roles- and really seem to be enjoying them, meaning I have just two complaints the day after. 1- Though they were spectacular- The toe to toe fight scenes were a tad brief. 2- And Much More Importantly- WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THE AC/DC YOU PROMISED ME? The IM2 trailer was full of ACDC licks but the only songs that make it into the move are Shoot to Thrill and Highway to Hell. Considering the lame way dated tunes were used throughout the film (Another One Bites the Dust?) this was a huge letdown- Especially with great tracks like Evil Walks, Razor's Edge and Cold Hearted Man on the so called "soundtrack album" which includes the VERITABLE STARK THEME SONG IN WAITING- Have a Drink on Me!

Iron Man 1 and 2 are bookends. WHAT THE IRON MAN FRANCHISE NEEDS TO DO NOW is to throw its weight behind the Avengers- and when it returns to its roots- IT SHOULD COME BACK WITH A CONSECUTIVELY FILMED TRILOGY ABOUT INDUSTRIAL ESPIONAGE AND THE ARMOR WARS MASTERMINDED BY THE MANDARIN and featuring VILLIANS THAT DON'T LOOK LIKE IRON MAN, such as SPYMASTER, GHOST, BLIZZARD, MELTER and SUB MARINER.
