i enjoyed the movie while I was watching it & thought it was well-written...but after I left, I kept wondering why Depp made some of the choices he did about his performance. Thought he could have done a lot more/different things with this role. On the positive side, it was Johnny & it was Angelina, so how bad could it be.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Enjoyed the movie - Eustace is a great addition to the lineup & as usual great casting choice! Now I want to read all the books again before the next movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I absolutely love the books & I was afraid the movie wouldn't measure up to my imagination, but it did. (Same thing happened with the Harry Potter movies!) The casting was spot-on & everyone was exactly how I imagined them. Even the town of Forks looks just like it did in my head. The scenery is beautiful too, & the music adds to the story. Can't wait to see it again over the long holiday weekend! Happy to see it did so well the first weekend & glad to hear they got a green light on the second one. Can't wait to see that!!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This movie not only exceeded my expectations, but I can't wait to see it again. I would have gone right back in & watched it again if I could have. I don't think I have ever seen a better performance by an actor than Heath Ledger's Joker. He was absolutely incredible. Also Aaron Eckhart was aweome. I couldn't quite imagine him in the part when I first read about the casting, but he was spot-on perfect. (I'm a 54-year-old woman but I just LOVE comic book movies for some reason!) My only nitpick is that I couldn't hear some of Gary Oldman's lines (despite the fact that I was almost late & had to sit in the second row). I think this was the best-cast comic book movie since Spiderman 1. And, loved the Batpod motorcycle thing & who doesn't love Morgan Freeman???
Yes, I recommend this movie.
