A beautiful, slow-developing plot and character study. Clooney gives an elegant, understated performance that captures his character perfectly. Violante Placido is worth the price of admission alone!

If you like "end-of-the-world" movies, you'll love this; all of the usual morality tales and implausible outcomes, plus absolutely killer special effects!
