Mickey Rourke played a phenomenal role as Whiplash, and as a whole the movie was a great experience that I'd pay to see again. It follows a straight line story pretty much right out of the comics, and because of that there are some things that someone who isn't familiar with Iron Man/S.H.I.E.L.D. history might have problems wrapping their brains around. It is never specifically mentioned that Nick Fury is the Commander of S.H.I.E.L.D., although it is implied. Romanov's name is used, but not mentioned is that she is also known as Black Widow. There wasn't as much comedy as the first issue, but as one could expect, when planning to make a multi-movie series there has to be filler somewhere. I loved it. I love the Iron Man story, always have. See it.
And if I might recommend, stick around thru the credits. For Marvel fans, there's a bit of a teaser at the end that might surprise you as much as it did me.
