I read the book a few years ago, so details that were changed didn't bother me very much. Some readers may miss the introduction scenes with the details behind the physicists' experiments, but it worked well on the big screen to condense it and edit it a bit. The movie was well-paced and I enjoyed it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
