One of the most appealing aspects of the first Iron Man movie was Tony's tinkering and inventiveness. Seeing inside the mind of a genius and watching him basically pull a McGuyver was entertaining. Iron Man 2 has almost none of that. Instead we see mediocre acting and more robot fighting and Transformers-style action sequences than anything else. Don Cheadle is abysmally bad in this movie and completely unconvincing as a friend of Tony Starck. Terrence Howard wasn't exactly amazing but he was at least believable in a Will Smith party guy kind of way. There are some cool "gear" scenes and some serious robot ass-kicking but beyond that, not much.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
