A great sensory experience

Slumdog Millionaire took me to Mumbai - the sights, sounds, and energy were cleverly conveyed by the music, the vibrant color, the sheer volume of the sounds, the fact-paced action, the editing - it all worked to convey a sometimes chaotic, somewhat dangerous, but always exciting place. The young actors were superb. While their situation could have been depressing - they lifted the mood with their comedy, resourcefulness and spirit. The entire movie, but especially the final scenes, were filled with symbolic imagery. This movie well deserves all the praise and hopefully will garner lots of awards for both its actors and director. Go with an open mind and let yourself be transported and uplifted.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
