I went because I like sci fi flicks, I was curious, and, well... the stars are hot! But I was pleasantly surprised that the story was well written, the characters were given time to develop, the special effects were very good, and although there were a few "it's scifi, so we can substitue absurd technologies for disconnects in the story anytime we need to" and there were some unecessary tension builders, overall the movie was very well constructed. I'm very critical, and rarely give high ratings to movies, but this one makes it into the 8 out of 10 category
Yes, I recommend this movie.
