Actually, my 20 year-old son and I were both a bit disappointed. It felt more like an "alien attack" movie based loosely around the Superman premise, than a Superman movie. During the movie I kept thinking of Independence Day with a little Matrix thrown in. My son said he kept thinking of Halo - because of the uniforms (I thought Avengers). As someone who grew up with superman movies I left the theater feeling very let down. A bad use of a great cast. It began to drag on at the end too.
