This was our first Imax experience and we were pretty impressed. THe reviews I read said the movie was appropriate for ages 8 and up and I would sort of agree depending on your 8 year old. It is a very intense movie. Definitely outside of my daughter's comfort zone. The animation was fabulous, good though predictable storyline, entertaining characters that you can relate to. Great for adults as well.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
