Fun...but scary for young ones

We took our 3 yr old son and 5 yr old daughter. Like many others this age in the theater, they spent a good portion of the movie with their heads bury in our chests. The noise was really the scariest thing for them. Despite what some reviewers said, there is a lot of violence (c'mon it's a dragon movie - what do you expect?). I would suggest taking boys 5 or older and girls 7 or older. That being said, my wife and I really enjoyed it. It's really a fun movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
