More like 4.5 stars. Fairly mindless action flick - not that there's anything wrong with that. Not Battleship mindless, but still.. not challenging. GREAT action sequences and fight scenes, very well paced. Suspension of disbelief is a must to enjoy it.
Gerard Butler is just SO much better suited to action films than his pathetic attempts at romantic comedy. He wasn't quite as good in this as he was in Law Abiding Citizen, but it was close.
Pros well paced, great story
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Loads of laughs, plenty of action

From the opening scenes to the end of the movie, filled with virtually non-stop laughter - and we're talking belly laughs here, not polite chuckles. Well acted, fast moving plot, plenty of action. GREAT date movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I'm not much for chick flicks, but every now and then you've got to suck it up. The Vow was a pleasant surprise. Not all *that* much of a chick flick. Good mix of humor and drama, not sickeningly sweet.
Guys, this is a chance to take one for the team and still get off easy. Definitely an entertaining movie, even for guys, and a great date night movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Good fun, disappointing ending

Typical of the franchise through most of the movie. Plenty of creepy tension, lots of good popups, very entertaining. Unfortunately, the ending was incredibly disappointing. We sat in the theatre through all the credits, thinking there had to be more (there wasn't).
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Mildly entertaining, but no chemistry between Gerard and Aniston. Like both actors, but they didn't work well together.
Overall, a watchable movie, but not worth seeing in the theatre. Wait for it to come out on video.
