Don't waste your money, wait for DVD

I had high hopes for this movie, but was greatly disappointed. I personally love what is going on with 3D in a lot of new movies now; however, I do agree with other comments that the regular version is better. The 3D effect was rather pointless and frankly made me a bit dizzy. Being a huge fan of the "Alice" stories, I found this to be a bad remake of the original Disney animated movie. I was also anticipating a darker take on the story since Tim Burton was involved, but that is not the case. Through the middle of the movie I actually found it hard to stay awake. Caught myself dozing at least 5 times. The group of friends I saw the movie with were split 50/50 as far as loving it vs. thinking it was just an OK movie. On the other hand, 100% of us agreed the movie seemed to be "lacking something". In my opinion I would wait for this to come out on DVD. Definitely don't waste your money by paying extra for the 3D version.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
