Not your typical hollywood message

Didn't think anything else could ocme closer than Wall.E. Now Pixar and Dreamworks have both shown me their top stuff.
Took the fiancee to see this. She's a dragon lover so her vote was in. I went in thinking this was going to be the some old PETA "don't kill the animals" storyline. It wasn't. You have to see it to really understand. I have to disagree with another reviewer. I don't think this was a "teenagers are wiser than us" movie. If anything it taught that one little lie can make your whole world literally be pulled out from under you. It further emphasized the butting of heads between parents and teens. All that aside, it's a kids move and we really shouldn't read too much into it. Toothless, the black dragon was a wonderful re-creation but is somewhat different from the book. Cressida, sorry your book had to go through the Hollywood re-creation machine. Although....they may have created a winner this time.
Loved it. I'm converted. If you plan to get a 3D TV in the future, this should be bought WITH it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
