"A hapless young Viking who aspires to hunt dragons becomes the unlikely owner of a young dragon himself, and learns there may be more to the creatures than he assumed."
I don't go to the movie theatre often. I believe, in the past two years, I've seen - including How To Train Your Dragon - four movies. I'm like most people: can't be arse to go to the theatre, having to pay the exorbitant prices and pretty tired of the same old plots and lackluster acting. But this movie, I had seen all the adverts and I'm a loyal fan of The Late Late Show - who's host we can thank for the amiably and piecemeal-ed viking, Gobber, I couldn't help but be drawn to this movie. I was definitely not disappointed by this film. It was fun. It was exciting. It just had everything. It was happy, sad, sarcastic; it had beautiful animation - just everything. This isn't just a movie for kids. I went with my 65-year-old Mother and she enjoyed just as much as I - being 20 - and as much at the teenagers that were behind us. If we had gone to a "regular" showing and not the midnight premiere, I'm positive that children and their parents would be just as pleased. I mean, to put it any simpler, how could you not like a movie featuring dragons, vikings, fire, hilarity and the whole gamut? I wholeheartedly recommend this movie for any - regardless of age, et cetera.
