Good movie.

I thought the movie to be captivating,compelling but with some lameness to the plot. Johnny Depp was excellent as the mad hatter and if I did not know he was playing the part, I would not have guessed it was he. Helena Bonham Carter was brilliant as "the Red Queen" and why she got second billing to Anne Hathaway???Hathaway's role and character was very lame and much smaller than Bonham Carter's. I thought all the makeup was excellent...and the color with the usual Tim Burton darkness struck a good balance. I did not care at all if the movie varied from the original book's..I thought it showed innovation.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
