Hamlet was the first Met live HD performance that I attended. I expected it to be good, but was not prepared for HOW good, great an experience it was. I think that, whether you are a fan of Shakespeare or not, whether you know the story of Hamlet or not, whether you appreciate opera or not - if you have even one ounce of any type of artistry in your soul, you would hav to love this production. The voices, the acting, the music, the photography, the close-ups of both singers and orchestra members, the backstage interviews - Oh My God! - taking nothing away from actually being at te Met, this is a priceless experience. I plan to go to many more next year, though I can't imagine how another could compare to this Hamlet. Also, Horatio (Liam Bonner) was outstanding! Can't wait to see him in bigger roles.Bravo!!! Please put these in more theatres, and keep the prices affordable.
