Good but not amazing

We enjoyed the special effects, the 3D and the CGI. The movie was a 7.5 / 10 but lacked the ability to draw me in in a personal way. The overall storyline highlighted that Alice was becoming an adult and a person of her own will, although this did seem somewhat evident from her character before the Wonderland experience too. Johnny Depp's character was odd and strange but charming. I thought the blending between what was real (ie actors) and what was special effects was seamless and the Queen of Hearts is a perfect example of that. The White Queen was a bit odd looking and not a very deep character. Overall the movie was beautiful to watch but maybe needed a bit more character development.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
