Shutter Island won't be nominated for a Best Film Oscar. Although the directing, acting, and production values were good, the plot is lacking. I don't like being left with "imagination" at the end of a film when I'm paying to be entertained. If I wanted to think, I'd go to work and they'd be paying me. Fortunately, I had a great date night with my husband, but the film was just average.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
