I thought this was an interesting twist to a classic story. It will make absolutely no sense to you if all you know is the Disney cartoon version...as there are several literary references that were not in the original Disney movie. I thought it was creative, and Tim Burton is the perfect match for a story so fantastical. I did think the fudderwacking at the end was unnecessary...kind of a cheesy thing thrown in to entertain the little ones...but it did amuse my 4 year old, so I guess it worked!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
