Go to this movie with a sense of exploration and prepare to be slayed by the gorgeous cinematography, impeccable timing, and simply strong, captivating and riveting acting evidenced by the major players. Scorsese has crafted a tightly-knit, compelling thriller in the Gothic tradition. Don't spend your time trying to pick apart potential plot threads and holes. Go instead to experience a sweeping, chilling "what if" scenario that will leave you emotionally exhausted when you leave the theater. Potent stuff for thinking minds!
