A good movie for young children, however there were simply variations on the previous plots and characters; and actually not quite as good as the others. If it was meant as a parady on It's A Wonderful Life, it failed. Perhaps small children would not realize the insconsistency of so many other ogres and then poof...all gone! Also, not really necessary to view in 3D, nothing in the film itself to warrant the three dimensional display.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Good film, especially for seeing w/ grandkids. Make up was great since my grandson only recognized Johnny Depp by his voice. It was a nice little film but I do not think I would have liked it as much if I had not been with a child.
My grandson then spent 20 minutes giving his grandfather an in detail description of this movie, so I knew he really liked it!
I would see this film again but I would not buy it for my personal collection.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
