Yes. The movie alters the Alice story a bit. Yes. Tim Burton makes it a little dark. Yes. You and your kids (ours are 6 and 8) will love this movie. As in Carroll's original stories, Alice is on a journey of self-discovery. It is quite believable and maybe sometimes predictable. The acting is mostly great. The graphics are fantastic. While different, Burton has really captured the brilliant madness that is Lewis Carroll. Be careful - you may learn a little something or get inspired to greatness.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
