Christopher Nolan flawlessly crams two and a half hours of wickedly dark drama and breathtaking suspence into this action packed thrill-ride, The Dark Knight.
Christian Bale's executes a brooding, torn Bruce Wayne so well, you have to wonder if he also has a very dark side to himself. Aaron Eckhart plays a great new character, the lead District Attorney, working with the police and Batman to clean up the crime bosses of Gotham.
As for Heath Ledger, no Joker of the past can even come close to his performance. There will never again be a more convincingly deranged and evil Joker on the big screen. The Academy would be fools if they didn't give Ledger the Oscar this year. We've lost a truly great actor.
The misdirection and suspense never seem to cease in this wonderfully executed recent addition to the Batman saga. This one will definitely go down in Cinema history.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
