Your "Alice" experience may depend on the projecti

I was looking forward to the combination of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp (and a 3-D "Alice"), but honestly the film that I saw was so annoyingly ugly that I was constantly distracted from appreciating the imaginative visuals. The theatre was equipped with "Disney Dolby Digital 3-D," but the movie was dimly projected, the glasses were dirty (not in a sealed plastic sleeve as in other 3-D experiences), and the 3-D-ness consisted of a sequence of flat layers. Hugely disappointing. I recommend 2-D unless you know this is a DIGITAL projection.
