My husband and I are both in the insurance business in the Midwest so we wanted to see how Hollywood would handle that situation. I have to say, they got it right. I was especially moved by Tim's reasoning for wanting to be an agent. The movie was hilarious and John C Reilly was his usual spot on self. Not for kids, but they shouldn't be on your Date Night anyway....
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Ben Affleck does an excellent job both as actor and director of this film. It is good from start to finish and all of the characters are well developed. You know each of the characters well enough to know what they will do next but you still want to see what they will do next. The action scenes are very well done and you feel anxious as though you are right in it with them. They are thieves but you tend to be on their side rather than with the FBI. I was especially impressed with Blake Lively's performance- she nailed both the accent and crack ho persona- runny mascara and all. As I explained to my friend, crack ho's can't afford the good mascara. The language is not for the faint of heart, but you expect the F bomb from this group and by the end of the movie, you won't even notice it. Better than The Departed.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Okay, I get it- no one is ever walking the streets of this Italian town which signifies how alone Jack/Edward feels in the world. When he finally is able to make a connection, it is with a hooker who is looking to get out. Normally a sex scene with Clooney would be something to look forward to- but not this one. In fact, it was disturbing. He later makes it clear that she is there for HIS pleasure, not hers. Yes, message received. The entire movie is an understated overstatement. Every interaction has a purpose and they might as well have put giant red letters above every clue in case you are so stupid that you missed it. Don't wait for the PPV- wait for Red Box and try to stay awake...It would seem that George had a free week and wanted to employ some of his Italian neighbors. I doubt he even had to leave home to make this one.
