Great as parallel storyline

This is a great movie as long as you know going into it knowing that it is NOT the book or any of the other productions thereof.
The CGI is amazing.
Spend the extra $3 or 4 and see it 3D @ IMAX.
On the downside, there are some trite elements that are probably unavoidable in a Hollywood production of this magnitude; the big battle scene and a cheezy dance bit for the kiddies.
Best acting performance: the Red Queen. (Sorry Johnny)
