I was hoping this movie would be magical and enchanting, and would allow me to escape into a mind-bending alternative universe for a couple of hours (like Avatar) . . . but it wasn't and it didn't. Tim Burton's "Wonderland" is, for the most part, a dark and depressing place. The movie has very little humor or lightness, and the Mad Hatter's dance at the end, for which we have been waiting for over an hour, is a big let down. Also . . . this is not a great movie for small children. My two year old was somewhat entertained, but my 3 and a half year old was traumatized by the dragon. Also, we saw the 2D version of the movie because my 2 year old would not wear 3D glasses for two hours. I'm sure the 3D version would have been more interesting.
