Alice in Wonderland

The original book was dark and fantastic, so I did not expect a bubbly family movie. Besides a little gore, even the dungeon stuff was not overdone, and there was not one fart joke.
My peeve:
No filmmaker been able to smoothly join man and beast, as in a human riding a dragon or bandersnatch. The scenes of Bayard on his horse and Alice on the bandersnatch were jerky and contrived. C'mon filmmakers - it's 2010. Figure it out.
My fav:
Depp as Hatter. I am not a huge Depp fan. I think he is a fairly limited actor. However, his style FITs this role, and his emoting during the fantastic mood shifts was great.
Overall it's one of the better films of the year, and I would see it again, even paying the 3D price - that's how much I liked it.
