I must start off by saying that I am not a big fan of Burton. I don't hate Burton but I don't think he's the "Super Special Genius" either. With that said I think thios film was run of the mill at best. I like Johnny Depp as an artist but this was not a memorable roll for him. The 3D was good but added nothing to the movie to make it anymore entertaining so see it in 2D and save yourself the extra 3-4 bucks to get that small popcorn that you have been craving. Not sure if you want to see this movie? Wait for DVD/Blueray, you'll pay the same for the disc and have all the comforts of home while viewing. On the plus side, Mia Wasikowska(Alice) does a great job and is pretty cute on top of that.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
