I enjoyed this movie, and I am a huge fan of the originals. There were a few things that I didn't care for but I was expecting a lot worse.
The acting was a bit dramatic and I didn't like how they made up his face. But I guess they had to make a distict difference in appearance so you didn't expect the same character as Robert England's portrayal. The CG was a bit rediculous but it added to the delightful cheesiness that is "Freddy."
I like that they used some of the same scenes as some of the originals. Also, let's be real. It was a bit scarier than some of the originals. Anybody who says it wasn't is forgetting that they watched the originals when they weren't as desensitized to scary movies (like when they were a kid or teenager). However, I didn't have any trouble sleeping that night.
They really made the audience hate Freddy for his child abuse/molestation, but you still gotta love those great one-liners!
Good job! I give 4 out five stars.
