Imaginative, but Strange

Personally, I loved this movie. I think the key thing is that everyone is expecting this movie to resemble or even replicate the original Disney's Alice in Wonderland. That isn't what this movie seems to be intended to do. This movie used a little bit more of the language from the books, and that really added to the feeling of being closely related. Truth be told, this movie is less for children than you would think. It has a bit of violence that was very unexpected and some of the monsters may scare younger children whose parents, under the misconception that this will be a remake of the original, take them to see it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
