You really can't expect to see the old movie in a new fashionable telling but this movie was that and more. The casting was amazing which means great characters thru and through. The movie had a great flow to it so that you were not in a position to go to the bathroom. There was something worth seeing all the way thru. I saw this in real 3D but wasn't that impressed. The depth seemed lacking and the color a little more dull but that is on my limited experience in watching 3D. Well worth watching again for the Kraken.

A darn good 3D experience

I wasn't sure of how good this might turn out given the Burton treatment. It was better than expected and the characters really showed themselves rather than being glossed over in favor of Depp or Bonham-Carter. A nice story that surely revolves around Alice and includes a nice touch from her last visit. Imax 3D wasn't as crisp or sharp as I got from Avatar in non Imax 3D but surely a "must see" movie experience.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
