Visually, this movie was STUNNING. Makeup was great as well. Story wise, it was good, but VERY slow. I enjoyed that they used more characters from the books, most notably, the Jabberwalkie. All in all, story was good, though slow, visually stunning, good makeup and costuming. I would say see it, but don't have your hopes up that it's "fantastic".
Yes, I recommend this movie.
