Not a bad movie, but definitely not good. The special effects are good, but the story is EXACTLY what you'd expect. There were no real (good) twists or additions to the story. It had the same feel as the other Tim Burton movies -- so by the time he does it this time it is very unoriginally done. Same vision, different context. I didn't find Johnny Depps performance good or bad, just ordinary for him in a Burton film. It's worth watching, but it's not the 'event' it's been billed as.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
